About Buddy DB372
Meet Buddy.
Buddy is a loving caring dog and has loyalty in his blood. Introduction to guests have been splendid, doesn't jump or bark or go crazy. Very calm and mellow dude when he feels safe at home. He's absolutely loves fetch and will bust himself to play with his tennis ball. Thank god he doesn't know the word walk, but when he see's or hears anything that remotely resembles the leash, his whole body wags. These few things, plus food, shelter and love makes this boy an extremely affectionate boy.
He has a loud personality, but a quiet voice. He doesn't bark often, but when he does, it's him begging to play. Buddy does get nervous around small children, so he would be best in a home with kids aged 12 and up (or all adults). He's fine with full time workers as long as he gets a morning walk! He LOVES playing fetch, going for his daily walk, napping, and cuddling. As long as he gets those four things, he's the happiest boy around!
His lead work is coming along great, with no practice in his five years, just after a few months he's caught the hang of it quite nicely, although it's much easier once his excitement is down. So a play or run before often does both the walker and Buddy good. Car rides are a favourite too, often because he knows he's get a cheeky maccas soft serve, but he does enjoy the ride and the wind in his face.
Buddy is learning his social skills with other dogs. He has made quite a few friends that are smaller than him, but dogs his size or larger are still a bit off putting for him. Buddy does get possessive of his toys around other dogs (humans are fine!), so we do think he would be best as an only dog with friends outside the home.
Buddy is such a great boy, so I'd love him to find a home where his training will continue, and he'll reward you with companionship and love!
