Chico

Chico is a very sweet natured cuddly little boy who tries so hard to do the right thing. Sometimes the big dogs tell him off for breaching doggy protocol, and he immediately pulls his head in! He is very gentle natured and plays nicely with the other pups, loves exploring in the yard, and loves a nap on his bed all piled up with the other pups. He does very good sad eyes, so he gets picked up and cuddled a lot!

Chico came to us from an indigenous family with his 13 litter mates. Mum died when they were only 3 weeks old, and their family could not care for them. They had been without mum for a couple of days when they came into care. We have raised them all up. All but Chico and his sisters Jellybean and Tic Tac have now gone back to their home and are thriving and doing well. These three were more frail and stayed with us for re-homing. Chico stuggled initially, but eventually started to thrive and he hasn't looked back. He is now a fat little boy, and really so lovely and healthy.

Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Chico's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Chico is currently in foster care in Elliott NT.
