About Miley
I HAVE SOMEONE COMING TO MAYBE ADOPT ME ON SUNDAY!
Hi, my name is Miley aka Pretzel. My foster mum gave me that name because of the way I twist my body and legs together when I’m cuddling. I love snuggling in her arms, on her lap, in her bed, or anywhere that she is... In fact, I prefer to cuddle my humans and be near them more than other dogs. I do get on with them, but they need to be able to put up with my uncoordinated body.
I am still a puppy and love to chew things. If you don’t have toys handy, beware because I love fingers and toes as well.
I am a happy puppy despite my health issues. I love to play, even though I do not know my name or come when called. I still have accidents too. Most of the time I can go to the toilet outside but it’s not always possible. On the bright side, my foster mummy says it’s mainly number 2’s.
I love kids but would prefer them not to be too young as I do like to keep my toys to myself. I don’t like it when it even looks like you are going to take my toy away from me. I’m getting better but I would hate to accidentally hurt you. It wouldn’t be on purpose because I love my humans but accidents happen. I am the same with food. Even though I don’t eat as much as I probably should, my foster mummy keeps me safe and feeds me separately from everyone else. I have to eat special food to help my liver, so it can be a challenge to get me to eat.
If you would love a super cuddly snuggly bed partner then I am the pup for you. I thrive on human touch and therefore prefer to sleep with you. The last thing I do before falling asleep is to lick you and then get in real close and doze off. I LOVE to sleep. I do not like getting up in the morning at all. Especially since I have to have this little blue pill shoved down my throat first thing every morning. I’m told it’s to help my liver but I still don’t like it.
Also please be aware that I am an expert in doing circles and circling. Sometimes they are large circles spanning a few rooms, sometimes they are small localised ones. When I am stressed, this escalates. BUT if you pick me up, cuddle me, and allow me to lick you, then I will do so until I am comforted enough and then relax and fall asleep in your arms. I would love a furever home to call my own. I promise I am very loving and am also told I am “special”. If you would like to meet me please contact the lovely people at CRQ. Please make sure you read all my medical notes further down my profile before applying for me.
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant X-rays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heartworm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
Miley came into our care due to her complex medical conditions. However, our team of vets believe she has a bright future ahead.
Miley has a liver condition which makes her very thin. Biopsies and scans have been done to rule out a serious shunt. She requires a special diet (essential for the rest of her life) and daily supplements. Her supplements can be bought online for as little as $20 a month.
Miley also has cerebellar hypoplasia. She has had thorough CT scans. Although this condition causes her to shake, cross her legs and wobble as she walks, our vets feel it's unlikely to progress and she has good quality of life. All medical records and reports will be forwarded to Miley's new vet.
