About Ellie & Max ~ Maltese x pair (on trial 13/11/18)
Meet Ellie and Max! Max is an 8 year old male Maltese x (salt and pepper) and Ellie is a 13 year old female Maltese x Shih tzu (tan and white). These are two very special little dogs that will steal your heart, as they have mine.
Ellie and Max arrived at Dog Rescue Newcastle as a private surrender, under very difficult circumstances. Their Mum got sick and could no longer care for them. They need to go to a loving home together.
Ellie is a sweet little girl who is looking for somewhere she can spend the rest of her time getting spoilt. Ellie is not a fan of bigger dogs and is not interested in puppy play. She would much rather curl up on the lounge next to you for a big sleep.
Max is a shy little guy, but once he knows you he just loves to be where you are. He loves going for walks and if you pat his back he will soon roll over for a belly rub. He gets so excited to see you that he gets on his back legs and bounces up and down, giving you a big wave. Max is also not a fan of bigger dogs or puppy play. He would rather see what you’re up to.
They are both happy to potter around or to just relax with you.
Both currently sleep inside in a crate. Both are toilet trained, but best to remind both dogs to go to the toilet. They both can use a dog door.
Ellie and Max would be best suited to a home where someone is there more often than not. Their ideal household would have no young children and no other dogs. They need to be allowed inside all the time.
Only the very best of home will be selected for these two, so if you think you can offer a loving forever home for both Ellie and Max, please complete our adoption application https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If you have any questions, please feel free to email these as well Melissa on melissapollo64@gmail.com. Ellie and Max are in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. They are available for adoption interstate.
Ellie and Max’s adoption fee is only $600 for both and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see the adoption process and all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom of the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two-week trial begins on the day of adoption.
