About Charlie ~ Yorkie x Pomeranian (on trial 19/10/18)
Charlie is a cute 5 year old, male Yorkshire Terrier x Pomeranian. He is a pint sized character weighing around 5kg. He has the Pomeranian style tail - a Pom Pom like a furry cheerleader.
Charlie enjoys a walk and a good sniff. He loves to race around with a tennis ball. He will chase it if you throw it and he will bring it back in his own fashion.
Charlie has a low-allergenic, low-shedding coat - he will require regular brushing and grooming to keep him comfortable and beautiful.
Charlie is learning to be an inside dog, having previously lived outside. He likes to go to his own snuggly bed after dark and is learning to enjoy a warm lap for short periods. He mostly has the toilet training under control and happily uses a doggy door.
Charlie sometimes likes to rub against your legs like a cat. He hasn't been tested with cats, birds or pocket pets but he's ok with chickens that stay in their enclosure.
So Charlie, the cheerleading babe is looking for a forever home, but he has much to learn so he needs just the right home. It must be a home with no children or other dogs. He doesn't like to share his humans so he needs a home with just one resident. His special person should be home a lot, be patient, kind and give him the love, stability and training he needs; someone who will understand that he has been through a lot in his first five years of life and deserves much more for the future.
For more information or to meet Charlie, please contact Anne by filling in our online Adoption Questionnaire https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt or sending an email to anne4drn@gmail.com. Charlie is in foster care in the Singleton area, NSW (west of Newcastle) and is not available for adoption interstate.
Charlie’s adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see the adoption process and all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
