About Taurus
Are you ready to fall in love? Because Taurus is!
This beautiful Rottweiler is a stunning specimen of a dog. Taurus requires a dog experienced home with owners who have large breed or Rottweiler experience. Unfortunately, he found himself spending his early months in a home with inexperienced owners who forgot to teach him some basic manners. However, the good thing is he is extremely switched on and picks up new training very well. In the right household he is awesome. The right household for Taurus is able to enforce basic rules and boundaries and keep him from becoming over stimulated by things. This means an adult household, or one with older and dog saavy children who can be pack leaders. He is not suitable for a home with cats or pocket pets as they are just too exciting for him.
He is as loyal as they come and is happiest when he is snuggled into your lap. He is responsive and attentive to his pack leader/owner. Taurus loves the water - he loves his shell pool and will snorkel in it (he is hilarious). Taurus loves to be around his family and go for daily walks on lead. He loves his bush walks and is decent off leash when walking with the pack. He doesn’t have the best stamina and is exhausted after a good hours hike, so he wont make the best running partner. But he does need exercise as an outlet. A good walk means a well behaved boy for the rest of the day. His leash manners are really good but he does like to collect rubbish on his walks so is nicknamed ‘garbage truck’ by his carer. You’ll have no problem with fussy eating as Taurus loves his food. He will even sit and wait until you give him the ok to eat, and he is very food motivated when doing training. He is currently on a half raw, half premium kibble diet. He is obedient with the basics of sit, drop stay. The areas of training that need improving are learning to deal with frustration when not being able to get to something. He has improved dramatically and we only want to see continued improvement so dedication is a must.
Taurus is dog friendly but is still learning how to socialise appropriately with other dogs. This means that he is best suited to controlled dog interactions only at this stage until he matures and learns his doggy manners.
Taurus loves to hold hands, it will melt your heart! He is a giant goofball who loves to play tug rope and ball. He hasn’t quite worked out he is suppose to bring the ball back yet though. Taurus is awesome of a night and sleeps in his crate with not a peep. He is a beautiful big boy and will be a large Rottweiler. If you put the work into this boy, you will reap the rewards down the track and have a very handsome and loyal companion to be by your side.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
