About Shadow ~ Staffy x (on trial 23/10/18)
Hello! My name is Shadow, I am a 2-year-old, medium sized Staffy X. As my name suggests, I am a trusting, devoted and loving boy and I LOVE spending time with my family... so much so that I almost become THEIR shadow. Therefore, my ideal home would be one in which I am a member of the family too!
I was recently surrendered as my previous owner could no longer care for me due to illness, and now I am looking for my FURever home!
I am happy to spend my days exploring my good sized backyard, or napping in my kennel, but I do also love lots of time for cuddles and bouncing around with my family. I am happy to sleep outside, but I’d like my kennel to be in a sheltered position from wind and rain and close to the house so that I know I’m close to my family.
I am the bubbliest boy you’d ever meet, sometimes I get so excited that I jump on my foster mum, but I am learning manners quickly. I know my name, I know how to sit and am quickly learning how to stay and lay down. When I am inside with my foster family I am a good boy and I stay on my bed unless I am told otherwise. I LOVE walks with my foster family, sometimes I get so excited that I pull on the lead a little, but my lead etiquette is improving and with a little practice I’ll be a pro!
I am a relatively quiet dog. I don’t waste breath barking, growling or whining, life is too short for whining! But I sometimes like to speak to my humans, and howl along with ambulance sirens to show the ambulance drivers my support!
I have had some interaction with other dogs and I have been docile and generally fine with them, even when they sometimes get so excited they jump on me. I haven’t met any cats or pocket pets during my foster care to date so I am not sure how I would go with them. I don’t live with any children, and I haven’t met any yet, but I am a friendly, loving and gentle boy so I think I might be okay with little humans.
For more information or to meet Shadow, please contact his foster carer Brittany on 0421 933 626. Shadow is located in New Lambton, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Shadow’s adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
Medical notes
Happy and healthy boy
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two-week trial begins on the day of adoption.
