About Floyd ~ 1.5yo Jack Russell (on trial 29/9/18)
My name is Floyd and I’m a white 20 month old Jack Russell Terrier with a beautiful orange face. I’m a cuddly, loving boy. I am very healthy and weigh about 6kg.
When I came into foster care I was quite a nervous boy and hated sudden noises and loud voices. I am now almost over that as my foster home is very peaceful and loving.
I love humans and don’t mind other male dogs around my size (6kg to 10kg). Really, I just want to be loved with cuddles, hugs, kisses and lots and lots of kindness. I don’t know what I am like with cats as I have never lived with any.
I am toilet trained and go in and out from the house to the back yard via a doggy door (with a plastic flap), and love food including the occasional schmacko and nightly dentastix. I sit on command, lay down and roll over. I am a very obedient little guy.
I walk on a lead and travel well in a car and don’t destroy furniture. I love toys and playing “tug of war”.
My biggest problem is that I don’t like being left without a human in the house. With someone at home I am an angel, but if nobody is home I tend to bark a bit which of course can annoy a close neighbour.
I need to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside. (I will NOT sleep outside under any circumstances). A real bonus would be to let me sleep in bed with you.
My adoption fee is $500 and you can contact my carer Don by emailing him at v8supercarrick@hotmail.com. Please include a completed Adoption Questionnaire Form (https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt), maybe some pics of your yard, and any other information which you may feel would be relevant.
Floyd is in foster care in Edgeworth, NSW (Newcastle area) and is available for adoption interstate. He is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see the adoption process and all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format:
https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
or PDF: https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
