About Hilda ~ Mastiff x (on trial 20/12/18)
This fetching looking girl is Hilda. She is a two and a half year old mastiff x who is looking for a new home to call her own. Dog Rescue Newcastle is helping Hilda’s owner to find her the perfect family.
Hilda would be great with an active family willing to take her out for a trip to the beach or the park. She adores her daily walks and is great on lead.
Hilda likes nothing more than games of chase. She does like chasing after a ball or a stick but she isn’t so great at bringing it back - she prefers to be chased.
Hilda loves the company of other dogs so it would be great for her to have a furry friend. She does live with a cat at the moment and will tolerate the cat even though it hisses at her. We don’t think Hilda would be suitable with pocket pets though.
Hilda has had basic training - she will sit, stay and will come when called but prefers to stay by your side when outside. She is toilet trained but can have the occasional excited wee.
Hilda needs to be allowed inside and wouldn’t cope being an outside dog. She is most suitable for a family that has children 10 years and older as she can be a bit mouthy when excited. With some positive training and direction, we are sure this can be helped. She can be a bit protective of her food also.
This girl lives for a cuddle and likes nothing more than having that time with her owner.
Hilda is a beautiful girl with loads of energy. Would you like to meet her? Please contact Kylie (who is taking all enquiries for her) by emailing sausageandmaggie@outlook.com
Hilda is located at East Maitland and is available for adoption interstate.
Hilda’s adoption fee is $250 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
Medical notes
Happy and healthy girl
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom of the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two-week trial begins on the day of adoption.
