About Murphy ~ Jack Russell Terrier (on trial 12/9/18)
Hello! My name is Murphy and I am a cute, 4 year old Jack Russell Terrier x. I am a really funny boy who is full of personality. I adore belly rubs and pats!
I come when I am called and I am learning to sit when asked. My foster mum thinks that I am really bright and some more training would be of great benefit to me.
My foster mum has a nice bed for me so that I can feel comfortable inside regardless of the weather. There is a doggy door at my carer’s home and I use it for those calls of nature. Although I am an inside dog, I don’t mind spending some time outside when the weather is good.
I enjoy my walks and the experiences in the outside world. I am learning to walk very nicely on my lead and the sounds of traffic and other dogs are of no concern. In fact even the fireworks and storms don’t trouble me. I am not a fussy eater but if I could be indulged with an occasional bone I would be ever so happy!
My foster mum gives me a weekly brush to keep me looking great - she is surprised to see that I hardly shed at all! I am in good health and looking forward to meeting my new family.
My foster carer has spent two months with me and knows me quite well now. She thinks that I would appeal to a variety of homes. I am happy to lounge around all day or even better chill out on a nice human lap; I would make a great companion for someone who likes to go for walks. I don’t like being on my own too long so someone who is home most of the time would be best.
I am really hoping that I can find a loving family to care for me and I am so excited about meeting you!
If you think that we would suit one others lifestyle then please contact my foster mum Anne by email anne_mccondach_3@hotmail.com. Murphy is in foster care in the Kurri Kurri area, NSW (west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Murphy’s adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see the adoption process and all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format:
https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
or PDF: https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
