About Noah ~ Staffy x Rotti (on trial 7/10/18)
Noah is a 2 year old Staffy x Rottweiler and quite the looker with his unique markings! Dog Rescue Newcastle is helping Noah to find the perfect new home.
Unfortunately, the environment at home has become quite stressful as Noah and his doggy brother don’t want to share their owners between themselves and the boys aren’t getting on. He is living (since a pup) with a female Wolfhound cross and is completely fine with her, happily sharing his owners and hanging with her.
Noah is quite people focused and is responsive to basic commands from them. Because he is people focused, he loves getting your attention and he will jump up on you for a pat but will sit when asked. Further training in establishing boundaries is recommended, especially with children as he is quite strong. Other than jumping up for attention, Noah is a pretty quiet and chilled dog. He likes to stick by your side or hang around the yard.
He is primarily and outside dog and is used to sleeping outside in the entertaining area but does spend some time inside when he is allowed. Because he does spend most of his days outside, Noah isn’t 100% toilet trained. He will go to the back door to let you know but has never been left inside all night to see if he can hold on.
Noah is used to having owners who work full-time and hasn’t tried to escape, but he has always had company. If Noah is going to be an only dog and for peace of mind, just ensure your yard is escape proof, especially whilst he settles into his new life.
Being a strong boy, he tends to be a bit excited when out walking on a lead and thinks that he is the one in control, so training in this area will need to be given to let Noah know you would prefer to walk at your own pace and that he doesn’t need to pull you along.
In his 2yr life, Noah hasn’t had a great deal of exposure to children. He has been around babies and hasn’t been bothered by them as they haven’t been interested in him, but this doesn’t mean he isn’t suited to a home with children. Older children would be recommended as he is a strong boy. Like all our adoptions however, we recommend that your children come to meet Noah as well to ensure that everyone is happy. The happiness factor extends into if you have a non-dominant female dog and bringing her along as well.
Are you the one who can give Noah a home where he either gets all your attention or can live harmoniously with your easy going female dog?
If you think Noah would be a perfect match for you and you can meet his needs, please fill in the adoption questionnaire on our website and email it to Olivia at horvat13@gmail.com. Noah is currently living near Toronto, NSW, in the Lake Macquarie area and is available for adoption interstate.
Noah’s adoption fee is $350 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
Medical notes
Happy and healthy boy

(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
