About Tilly ~ Mastiff x Boxer puppy (On Trial 8/9/18)
If love and fun are what you after in a puppy look no further! Tilly is a gorgeous 8 week old Mastiff x Boxer pup who has both of these in abundance. Tilly has the most wonderful playful and loving nature that is typical of her breeds, she loves nothing more than wrestling and playing with her sister and foster sister (a 5 year old mastiff x ridgeback) and we believe she will be approximately the same size - so around the 25 kilo mark.
Tilly has been brought up in a family with children but you need to remember she is still a puppy so her training at the moment is only limited and will need to be continued once adopted. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Tilly. If you don't have another dog to keep her company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Tilly needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Tilly's siblings: Charlotte, Penelope and Daisy are also available for adoption.
As Tilly is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Tilly, please contact her foster mum Siobhan on 0408 603 156 or at jandspurins@bigpond.com. Tilly is in care in New Lambton, NSW (Newcastle area).
Tilly's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format:
https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
or PDF: https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
