About Daisy ~ Mastiff x Boxer puppy (On Trial 12/9/18)
Wow what a girl! Daisy is a gorgeous 8 week old Mastiff x Boxer puppy. She is a treasure - such a quiet, loving nature with just the right amount of spunk. Daisy can be shy at first but once she is familiar with you she loves to chase a ball or play tug a war with you or her sister with a rope toy.
Daisy will grow up to be a medium size dog. Daisy is not fully toilet trained yet - she is still only young, but doesn’t take long to pick up commands and will hop onto her bed when directed too. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Daisy. She enjoys some quiet time but also loves to be a part of the family unit and would benefit from having another dog to play with. If you don't have another dog to keep her company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Daisy needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Daisy's siblings: Charlotte, Penelope and Tilly are also available for adoption.
As Daisy is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Daisy, please contact her foster mum Siobhan on 0408 603 156 or at jandspurins@bigpond.com. Daisy is in care in New Lambton, NSW (Newcastle area).
Daisy's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format:
https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
or PDF: https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
