About Pebbles ~ 9 Yr Old Boxer X (On Trial 06/10/20)
Meet the stuning Pebbles, this gorgeous female 9yr old Boxer X Kelpie is looking for her perfect new forever home where she can be loved and adored by all.
Pebbles is a lovely mannered, gentle and pretty lady looking for a home she can settle into for retirement. A 9 year old Kelpie x Boxer, she is a people oriented girl who loves to be included in the family setting. She is house trained and a medium sized girl who dosent jump up and is not interested in shoes or jumping on furniture (although she will gladly sleep in bed with you if invited!). She is not toy orientated, but loves a delicious treat and is most happy when she is around her people and getting cuddles or pats. Pebbles is a low-medium energy dog who loves a daily walk, though tends to tire after about 30 minutes and she walks quite well on a lead, but will pull when she is excited or passes another dog, but generally will respond the the heal command and be on her way. She also responds to sit, lay, stay and will offer you her paw for a shake when asked. She is good with other dogs around her own size or bigger, but not really a fan of smaller breeds who bark alot. We would recommend a meet and greet with any dogs in her new home to see if they get along.
Pebbles has lived with young children, but as she has gotten older is more sensitive to loud noises so she would be best suited to a home with older children or adults only. She has not been cat tested but currently shares residence with a rabbit and is well behaved around him and shown no signs of aggression but we would not recommend she is left unsupervised with pocket pets.
Pebbles ideal home would be a relatively quiet one, where she has some yard space for zoomies and allowed inside to interact with her family and sleep of a nighttime, with regular short walks and a little play time (after that she is happy to lay at your feet or on her bed for regular naps). Someone home more often than not would be good for her, although she is used to being left unsupervised for a few hours, several days a week. Pebbles can become anxious when left for long periods by herself, and uses her strong bark to communicate when people come to the door and meeting new people, so it is important her new family does slow introductions to help her with new friends as she can be very scared and bark/shake in the presence of new people, so she has anxiety treats to help to calm her down when needed. A secure yard with 6ft fencing and no gaps would be the best option, as she has dug under and jumped over fencing before.
A few meetings with Pebbles is recommended to ease her into a new friendship before going into a new home. Her adoption fee is $150, Pebbles is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations. Pebbles is located within the Newcastle NSW region.
