About Otis
Otis is a special boy with a kind soul, he is social with other dogs but does tend to get a little overwhelmed if they're too full on. He is best suited to a home that isn't interested in frequenting dog parks or off leash dog beaches and is happy with social play dates and walks daily.
He is learning what inside means and with that, he is learning his inside manners, toilet training and crate training. He is progressing well but will need continued support and training with his inside manners and toilet training in his new home to make sure he doesn't make accidents.
He has met some cats whilst in care, and although he is social. He is best suited to a home that doesn't leave him with cats alone. He is still not sure what to do with them and with this, we aren't quite sure what his intentions if alone would be.
He is good with people, but shows that he may have some previous abuse in his life as he is a little head shy and shy of loud noises. He would suit a home with dog savvy stable footed kids preferably over the age of 7 who are understanding of large dogs who can be nervous.
He doesn't show to be overly attached to other dogs in his foster home, so we think he could suit being an only dog if someone was home a little more for comfort and companionship. Other wise, he would suit a home with another friendly and not dominating dog.
He is doing well in the on and off leash department as well as recall and basic obedience and may suit a rural living lifestyle with the right time and training. Otherwise, fencing 5ft and over is best suited for this handsome fella.
Otis is located in the Lower Hunter Valley and his adoption fee is $500.
Adoption details
In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
