About Keiko ~ 10mo Boxer x (on trial 30/9/18)
Hi! My name is Keiko and I am a beautiful, 10 month old Boxer x girl. My favourite things are cuddles, long walks (even a run!), food, more cuddles... and did I mention food??
I’m a good girl and, because I like food so much, I’m quick to learn new things.
I live with my foster mum, foster dad, 2 x human foster brothers (typical tweens!) and a foster fur brother. I’ve been with them for about 2 months now. Of all of them, I love my mum the most - from day 1, she was my best friend.
I had some trouble with my men before I came here and I still find them quite scary when I first meet them. Initially I was terrified of my foster dad, but after a few days, he ended up being ok and now we cuddle up on the lounge together - turns out, I really like him. The boys and I have been friends since day 1, they weren’t that scary.
My mum though, well, I think she’s the love of my life. I follow her everywhere - room to room, we’re inseparable. My mum tells me I’ll love another mum more than her - we just have to find the right family for me. Do you think it might be with you?
If you would like to meet me, please contact John on 0422 734 954 or email johnpgid@yahoo.com.au. Keiko is in foster care in the Lake Macquarie area, NSW (south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Keiko’s adoption fee is $450 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see the adoption process and all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom of the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two-week trial begins on the day of adoption.
