About Sasha
*FOSTER TO ADOPT*
Well hi there, my name is Sasha.
I was surrendered to Lort Smith as I was admitted to the hospital for swallowing something I shouldn't have and required surgery. Unfortunately my carers could not afford treatment nor did they have time available for my post-surgery aftercare.
I am all better now though and I'm jumping around like a normal nine-month-old puppy!
I am a super energetic girl, so will require a family that will take me on daily walks, to obedience training to better my manners, and keep up with my dog-to-dog socialisation. I can come across as quite rude and over the top at times, I am just such a happy girl and all I want to do is play!
Some of my favourite things to do are to cuddle up with my human friends, playing games of tug and hanging out with other dogs.
I can go to a home with another dog however that dog would need to be calm, have obedience but also be playful. You see, I need a canine friend to show me how to play appropriately.
At this stage, I will be foster with a view to adopt whilst my skin is monitored over the next two weeks. My skin was initially quite sore but it is now nearly all cleared up. The veterinarians thought it best that I be monitored for two weeks and then have a recheck. If I am cleared by the vet at this time, I can be officially adopted.
If you think I sound like the perfect dog for you, please call the Adoption Hub for more information - 9321 7240.
Medical notes
Being treated for skin issues. Almost cleared up. Once rechecked in two weeks, will be given all clear.
Sasha will be adopted out with a disclaimer as she may have issues with her hind limbs in the future (she has an unusual gait).
