About Angus
Angus is a stunning red kelpie. He is gentle and loving and absolutely loves to be with you. He has been around children aged 7 & 3 and has been gentle and tolerant.
Angus is good around other dogs, he is fostered with another male kelpie and they get along well together. They love to run around the back together chasing one another and stirring each other up for a play. There is a little bit of jealousy when one may appear to be patted or more attention given. They sleep inside together with their beds next to one another. Angus has also had other foster dogs come and go and he has been fine with them all. Angus has been around a cat and some chickens and he was fine with them. There are also horses over the back from his foster family and he has also been fine with them
Angus's recall is great and he will sit on command but can sometimes be a little slow to do that.
He has not been on the lead much as his foster family lives on a rural property, but he is pretty good and not pulling too much. He sits and stays for his dinner until he is told he is allowed to eat. He is not a fan of water, even when watering the garden, its hard to coax him over for a pat.
Angus is a beautiful dog who loves to be around people and will quite happily sit at your feet or next to you for a cuddle. He loves to laze around and would quite happily live inside if he could. He is not a ball chaser or retriever really. He likes to lay in the shade and watch from a distance when you're working outside and then will come up at times for a pat.
Angus's great skill is jumping.... unfortunately this means he jumps his foster family's rural fencing as soon as he is left alone for 1 second! To keep Angus secure and safe he will need 1.9 metre high fencing.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2. Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.
http://farmdogz.com.au/adoption-application-form/
3. If your are successful, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you are welcome to return the dog (the more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be retunded to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.
**PLEASE NOTE: WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US BEFORE FILLING IN OUR ONLINE ADOPTION FORM**.
We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
