Very Special Carer (or forever home) needed for Milo

Of all the pound pictures we have ever seen, Milos was one of the most heartbreaking

So cold, sad, scared and alone.

If ever a dog was telling us he had lost all hope Milo was the one.

In a secluded rural pound with severe chain wounds to his neck, needing immediate vet care but expecting nothing… he knew nobody would come.

This baby Beagle x (just 9 months old) had never known love or kindness... He had been chained his whole life and was so thin and terrified our hearts just broke.

And so we came... a long long road trip to bring him “home”

But that was just the start of Milos’s long journey.

We knew we needed a special carer who could work with him and try and fix him... Not just physically (that is the easy part) but mentally... Those scars are the hard ones to heal.

Our amazing carers all offer so much and have their own strengths in diverse areas but we knew just where Milo needed to go and thank Goodness they said Yes.

Joanne, Andy and Chad the Big Bull Arab Boy have fixed so many of the “unfixable “ones.. They have love, patience and we suspect a secret supply of “Pixie dust” … they just make dogs better … in their time.. in their way.

And that day Milos’s life changed … He learnt that people are kind, that life is good.

Joanne showed him love, Andy showed him what fun training can be and Chad.. Well Chad showed him how to be a dog.

And there the new problem started... Milo thought he was “home”... He had a mum, a dad and a dominant big brother who put him in his place when needed. Life was just how Milo dreamed it would be.

Adoption 1 - lasted 24 hours … the Adopters existing Beagle did not like this bouncy intruder one bit.. So Milo came “home”

Adoption 2 – lasted a few days – they were keeping him!
To get “home” Milo needed to up his game. First he had a fight with a friend’s dog … much smaller than and not as dominant as Mr Chad.

That sort of worked last time Milo but nope.. These guys were more determined.

What happened next is what makes Milos story so sad... he bit the adopter’s son in law. Yes he was stressed, yes it was a crazy busy place, and yes he has a fear of men... But we never excuse or accept that behaviour so Milo came “home”... Again

But this is not “Home” Milo Baby.

The sweetest happiest little guy who loves so hard and has never shown one ounce of aggression has blotted his perfect record card.

So where now for this beautiful little boy?

His cards are on the table.. The rest is up to the Universe.

And we pray the Universe has an amazing person who will look at this boy and decide they can take him on the next part of his journey... That they can help lead him “Home”
