Dixie

Hi, I am a loving, grand dame named Dixie. I'm so easy to be around, you might even forget I'm snuggled up in my bed beside the couch. I love walks even though sometimes I can take a little coaxing to leave my warm spot. I love a gentle snuggle and to be around you when you're home and I'm okay on my own during the day too.

I am polite and well manned although I still feel a little nervous in unusual situations or noisy traffic so will need a family that can continue to build my confidence in these new situations. I'm quite reserved but opening up more every day. I am also still learning how to get down narrow stairs with my long limbs but I'm getting there, especially when it's to greet my foster careers when they get home from work - I forget my fears!

I am looking for a home without any small animals, but I get along great with larger dogs so wouldn't mind joining a family with a friendly dog. I am a gentle lady and would happily live with children, or I am happy to be the number one in your life.

When on the Petrescue Profile push "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts. In the message section please place information about the home you can provide. This includes current/past pets, children, and any other information you can provide. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 working days. Please note all of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Campbellfield. The majority of animals are in a foster home not at the shelter.
