**PLEASE READ TATO'S PROFILE THOROUGHLY**
Tato is looking for an adult only, cat free home with someone who works short hours (3 hours or less) or is around the majority of the day.
He has absolutely thrived in care and it is time for him to shine with an experienced dog owner dedicated to continuing his socialising and training. He has learned how to play with dogs (albeit roughly) whilst in the safety of his foster home but his initial reaction still needs work. He takes time to warm up and will feel the need to protect himself by barking and snapping, but once he trusts a dog and people he is all about chasey and tuggy. Trust is not something he gives easily.
Tato is unsure of children and their often spontaneous nature, he can get protective of his space and toys so a home where he won't be around children at all is best. Adults must be able to read his signs and offer realistic boundaries for him to reach his full potential in a safe and timely manner. He needs to come to you in his own time, trying to rush him will see him become defensive.
He loves his walks and exploring all that the world has to offer but needs help to learn appropriate leash skills and behaviours. He is just so excited and happy to be out he often forgets you are attached to the other end of the leash. He currently weighs around 8kg and is strong.
He is full of cheek and is a real character that makes you laugh. This sweet boy will continue to blossom in the right hands.
If you can offer Tato everything he needs to become the best companion he can be please enquire/apply at http://www.startingoverdogrescue.org.au/adoption--expression-of-interest-form.html ******Only these completed applications will be responded to.*******
