About Phoebe ~ Staffy x Lab puppy (On Trial 31/8/18)
Phoebe is a 12 week old, female, Staffy x Labrador puppy. She is a cuddly, loving puppy and is absolutely devoted to her brother. She is intelligent and will learn quickly.
Phoebe is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. She has been very well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. She's met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them.
Phoebe will grow up to be a medium size dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Phoebe. She is very social and will need another dog to keep her company. It would also be good if there is someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Phoebe needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Phoebe’s brother Cole is also available for adoption. As they have a strong bond, they would be happy to be adopted together.
As Phoebe is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Phoebe, please phone her foster mum Robyn on 02 4953 7115. Please leave a detailed message and she'll ring you back. Phoebe is in Glendale, NSW (Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle).
Phoebe's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms. You can see all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format:
https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
or PDF: https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
