Willow is a bit of a cheeky girl. She spent some time in foster care, below are Willow's likes and dislikes –
Likes:
I love the bathroom sink and will play with the water if it’s trickling out of the tap.
I love cuddles and pats and will curl up on you for some loving.
My foster carers say that I am a sassy girl. You see, I just love to play and I can get a little bit carried away when playing with my humans, this can lead to me trying to give you a playful bite, I have never bitten down hard, it’s more of a mouthing. Once I get to this stage I need to be told ‘NO’ and the game needs to stop. For this reason I wouldn’t be suited to a home with small children.
I love toys on strings and could play with them for hours on end.
I am a confident girl who likes other cats. However in foster I was a little dominant with the resident female cat but got along well with the boys. I would love a playful, friendly brother to get up to mischief with.
Dislikes:
I’m not sure about dogs yet, in foster care I was very intrigued by the resident dog and would follow her around to check her out. I would be fine with a cat-savvy dog that will give me my space if I need it.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open between 10am-4pm Mon-Fri and 10am and 3pm Sat-Sun.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
