Blaze

Just as his name might suggest, Blaze is a hurricane of energy and charm! A very sociable and lively fellow, Blaze is looking for an active family who can offer a suitably dynamic lifestyle.

Though he may be big, Blaze is still a puppy and will need a human ready to commit to ongoing training. Here at the shelter Blaze has been working on his basic skills; at times he loses focus and can be a bit silly, but he has been impressing staff and volunteers with his improving leash manners. Continuing with force-free training to expand Blaze's growing repertoire of skills will be a must in his new digs. Blaze's love of food and goofy playful attitude should make teaching him a bunch of fun too!

While daily walks and adventures will help Blaze expend physical energy, most important will be plenty of enrichment such as long-lasting treats and puzzle toys to keep his keen mind happy and healthy. Ask our staff for some creative and useful enrichment ideas! Blaze has met some sociable pooches here at the shelter and while his intentions are good, not everyone is a fan of his enthusiastic play style. Blaze will need to meet all resident dogs before entering his new home so that we can be sure he is comfortable with his new pals.

Being an athletic and youthful boy, Blaze will require six foot Colourbond fencing in his new home; chain and mesh fences are no obstacle for him! If your home and family can offer the security and guidance Blaze is seeking, we would love for you to meet him here at Kemps Creek shelter.
