About Henry ~ Cattle dog (on trial 18/8/18)
Introducing the handsome Henry! Henry is a 4 month old Smithfield Cattle dog (stumpy tail) boy. He is currently in foster care with 4 other dogs and gets along well with them. Being a puppy he loves to play!!
Henry understands basic commands like sit (although you need to have his full attention first). He would love for his furever family to continue his training as he is a very smart dog and picks things up quickly. Henry is also house trained (when he is access to outside).
Henry is very affectionate, although due to his eventual size his foster parents would recommend older children or children who have experience with larger dogs. He is a very playful dog and loves his toys.
Henry would love to go to a furever home where he has another playmate to keep him company although this is not essential.
Henry is quite happy to be outside during the day and sleeps inside at night. Henry will need a secure yard with high fencing.
Henry would make the perfect addition to any family.
As Henry is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to one of our vets for desexing when he's 5 or 6 months old.
For more information or to meet Henry please email foster carer Amy, amyeh34@hotmail.com. Henry is in foster care in Pelaw Main, NSW (west of Newcastle).
Henry's adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
