About Salazar, Rowena and Godric
❤️ MEET ROWENA, SALAZAR & GODRIC ❤️
Hi there, our names are Rowena, Salazar and Godric. We’d like to tell you a story about how we came to be here today. You see, a short while ago our sister Helga became unwell. The lovely people at Perth Rescue Angels tried their best to save her, but unfortunately she had to be put to sleep due to suspected Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) which is a fatal disease. This made us really sad.
The vet had some bad news for us as well, we have been exposed and are at risk of developing FIP too. There is no way to know whether any of us will, but the vet said after we are 18 months old, the chances of developing it decreases significantly. We have our paws crossed that we will grow big and strong and won’t get FIP – please have your fingers crossed for us too.
Despite this, we heard that there are super amazing hoomans who will give special kitties like us a home to call our own. Our foster Mum said it might take time to find these wonderful people, but they’re out there - how incredible! She said EVERY cat deserves a chance to have a loving family, to feel the warmth of snuggles on the couch, to play together with our favourite toys, and to give and receive unconditional love no matter what happens ❤️
We were rescued from outside during a storm and are starting to enjoy the luxuries of indoor life. We can be a bit shy, but we love gentle cuddles and head scratches in our foster mum’s arms. Pro tip: feed us by hand and we’ll be friends in no time! A house with older kids or adults would be purrfect for us.
We could be shedding the virus and could pass it onto other cats we come into contact with, and they are then also at risk of developing FIP, so we need to go to a home no with other cats under the age of 18 months until we are above this age. We also need to be inside only cats to not come into contact with other cats until we reach 18 months of age. We have lived with dogs and other cats so will be happy to do so with a slow introduction. Hey, maybe you could adopt two of us together, that’d be neat!
We are so excited to find our furever homes. If you have space in your home and heart for one (or more) extra special kittens like us, please fill in the form to meet us today.

FIP is a genetic mutation of a common feline infection called Feline Coronavirus. It is not known why some cats develop FIP and others don’t however there are a number of factors including a genetic predisposition. There is no treatment for FIP, the disease is fatal.
Dogs and humans are not at risk of transmission of this condition.
Due to the situation we are only asking for a donation instead of an adoption fee.
