About Jezz ~ Cattle Dog x BC puppy (On Trial 22/8/18)
Hello there, my name is Jezz and I am around 11 weeks old. I am a very handsome Cattle Dog x Border Collie who loves a cuddle and a belly rub.
I am a happy little fellow and love to be around my family. I am learning new things every day and my foster family think I am pretty smart. I now sit and wait for my food.
I love a walk and walk really well on lead but a walking harness would be great for me. Puppy-training classes are always recommended to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
I am really good with other dogs and enjoy playing with them. I have been introduced to a cat but for some reason he doesn’t want to play with me, maybe in time!
I am trying my best at toilet training and being around older dogs has helped me a lot but I do still have the occasional accident so need to be taken out on a regular basis. I like to be around my family so really do need to be allowed inside with them. I sleep inside also.
You need good fencing with no small gaps. I can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
It would be great for me to have a friendly doggy playmate as I would get too lonely on my own unless someone is home most of the time. I will make a great addition to a family and since I am an active boy will love to go on family outings to the beach, park and sport.
As I am not yet desexed, I am only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because I'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when I’m approximately 5 months old.
If you would like to meet me, please contact Sharron by texting 0423 331057 or email sstudley3@bigpond.com I am located in Merewether Heights.
Jezz's adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
