About Dixie DL1521
Hi! My name is Dixie and I’m a very sweet girl who loves people.
I am very intelligent and I learn new tricks very quickly! Treats help me learn, and I’m very gentle when I take them.
My favourite hobby is going for walks and smelling everything I can! I’ll let you know when I’m ready to go for a walk by lifting my paw, and I promise I won’t pull on the leash. If we need to cross a street, you can ask me to sit and I will stop walking immediately. I'm not social with other dogs, and will need continued training with a strong and confident owner. I am not compatible with cats.
I am social with people, and I really enjoy being with you, whatever you're doing! I thrive when I am mentally and physically challenged, so we can come up with lots interactive and fun activities together. I especially enjoy practicing obedience, playing a game of tug of war, having a wrestle, or going for a walk.
I love water and I enjoy splashing around and wading in a shallow pool, beach or lake, but my all time favourite is chasing the water out of the hose, I can do that for hours... I'm still a puppy at heart when it comes to playing!
I’m patient when you go to work, and will sleep most of the day, as long as I've had plenty of exercise. I'm friendly with people, but since I'm still learning not to jump up for kisses, I'm not suited to little kids.
When it’s time to relax, I’m happy to snuggle with you; sometimes I’m so tired I’ll be snoring on the couch. I’m an inside dog when it comes to sleeping, my favourite spot is under the blankets at the bottom of the bed keeping your toes warm.
I can’t wait to meet my new family, and show you all my tricks and shower you will love! To meet me, email DFLadoption@gmail.com
