About Appi
Appi | Akita I Male I 1 year old
Appi has a face that will melt your heart and the brawn to break your shoulder! This super sweet and friendly 1 year old Akita is a strong, strapping young man that tends to forget his manners and get overly excited. He loves being around his people, so he needs someone willing to put the time and effort into teaching him how to behave like a gentleman and not a kangaroo crossed with a racehorse.
Appi currently attends obedience classes, but he still has a long way to go. If he doesn’t want to do something (or if there is something he really wants to do!) he plays the stubborn card. Any new family must be committed to a fair, balanced training program long term. Appi loves his walks and once he learns to master loose lead walking, he’ll be a pleasure to take for his daily stroll.
Friendly with other dogs, Appi sometimes misses social cues from them. Because of this, coupled with his size and young age, any prospective canine housemates would need to be a similar sized, confident female that can handle herself and guide Appi how to play nicely.
Appi loves nothing more than chilling on the couch and hanging out with his family. He’s very affectionate and always ready for adventure! He will make a wonderful addition to a family wanting the challenge of a large, strong charming young lad that are committed to helping him reach his potential.
A decent sized yard, high, secure fencing and breed experience required.
