About AV1035 Joey
Hello there. Pleased to make your acquaintance, my name is Joey and I'm on the look out for a new family.
I'm a lovely mature chap who loves a good snooze and a warm place to snuggle so if you've got a comfy spot for a little fella like me, please get in touch today!
In my current foster home I'm living with 2 small children and I'm super good with them; my foster mum is at home most of the time and that's great for me because I love company. Ideally I would like somewhere with a stay at home parent, someone who works from home, a retiree... you get the gist!
I walk really nicely on the lead and I have pretty good manners in general - I'm totally toilet-trained and I know how to sit, come when I'm called and all the basics. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks, but with me you don't really need to!
In foster care I'm the only animal in the home. I reckon it would be okay to live with another dog or a cat but you would need to introduce us slowly and sensibly. I'm not exactly a puppy, so a really young and playful dog wouldn't really be my cup of tea - but perhaps another mature pooch like myself could be a good companion.
I'm a pretty lovely little lad so please come and meet me today!
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
