About Sashi
Sashi is an energetic pup in a big body. He’s been in foster care for a little while where he’s adopted his new name and he’s ready for his new start with his forever home. Only still very young he is super playful and fun. He’s not quite 100% Great Dane but you could fooled as he has many of the common Great Dane traits. Sashi loves his fluffy toys and chew toys and he’s very smoochy. He’s ready for a game and a run and then ready to snooze on the couch. He’s a cuddly boy and whilst boisterous at times being a pup, he can also be gentle. Surprisingly Sashi is not a destructive pup and has been left with access to inside with no issue. He does like to keep busy but so far hasn’t directed that into destructive behaviour at all.
Sashi did a lot of obedience when he was very young. He can walk well on lead and knows basic commands. He is very capable of learning tricks in short periods of time and enjoys a challenge and games. Unfortunately, he’s had a couple of setbacks in his socialisation which will require a very dedicated new home to help him move past to be comfortable around dogs again. But not all people need or want to spend a lot of time around other dogs and we think this will make the perfect owner for Sashi.
We are seeking a giant or large breed experienced owner with a calm energy for Sashi. A confident handler will have no trouble with him out and about on lead however we don’t anticipate he will become an off-lead dog in the near future.
We won’t be considering a home with kids even though Sashi has done quite well with children that he has met so far. We feel he needs to be the focus in a home and time spent working with him to ensure his success. He’s a pup after all and the early years are always action packed. He has lived with cats previously and done ok with the confident ones but it’s proven very difficult to integrate him with the cat in his foster home. We feel this is one challenge easier to avoid than struggle with for an extended period of time.
Sashi will do best as an only dog. He will cope with a working family, just needing a little time to settle in and work up to being on his own during the day after a morning walk. Sashi is a loving dog and will thrive in a home that is committed to him, will ensure he gets a walk or two each day and continue to enjoy lots of activities with him. If that sounds like you and you can deal with Great Dane size love from this gorgeous boy, please get in touch.
