About Zoey
This little cutie is Zoey!
While Zoey is loving and affectionate, she is also a little shy and dependent.
Zoey came to us with her equally adorable brother and sister. The girls are very similar and are both a little shy in new situations and timid around new dogs at first. Once they are given some time to learn they are safe and the other dogs just want to have fun, it's all systems go!!
Zoey and Missy are currently staying in the same foster home. They are being exposed to new people and environments every day and are slowly feeling more comfortable in new situations. Continued patience and encouragement will need to be offered by their new families so these girls have the best opportunity to be the happy and confident dogs we know they can be with more time and understanding.
While they have been in care, Zoey and Missy are learning some basic skills to prepare them fr their new home. They have learnt to sit and are now mastering how to wait and stay.
Toilet training is going well and they are now really good at holding on until they go out, they are often holding on overnight now which is really clever.
Considering Zoey had a sheltered life as a pup, she will need a family who are happy to give her the time she needs to feel safe in new situations. Socialisation classes would be a huge advantage to her to help her become more confident and to learn she can rely on her people to keep her safe when she is feeling insecure.
The best home for Zoey will be one where she will have a desexed, mature but avtive and confident MALE dog to share her days with and to follow when she is feeling unsure. She seems to depend on the resident dogs for reassurance so we feel this is a very important decision in Zoey's best interest so please only apply if you have a friendly boy who would like a friend.
We are unsure how big Zoey will grow but we do know she will need a good amount of room to run with her new doggy friend so a medium to large sized yard will be ideal.
Please contact us if you have the experience and perfect home to offer this gorgeous girl her forever happiness.
**ZOEY AND MISSY ARE LOOKING FOR SEPARATE HOMES. THEY WILL NOT BE ADOPTED TOGETHER**
Currently in care in Ballarat, Victoria
Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
