About Jessie
Jessie was recently surrendered to FCAR after becoming anxious with her family's dynamics.
Jessie would be best suited as an only dog, or with an older dog that is non-reactive to her behaviours. Jessie requires a slow introduction with new dogs as she is currently quite reactive due to her anxiety.
She settles after a couple of meets and allows her gentle nature to be seen. She loves her humans and likes to be close to them on the couch/bed/ floor etc...
She is great on a lead but needs to be checked occasionally when distracted...she is currently being trained on a halti to help maintain her focus and keep her attention when approaching/being approached by another dog.
She is currently in care with 2 older dogs that are non-reactive and is doing very well. She is not a jumper, digger; chewer or barker (only normal doggy barking .. especially at play).
So if you are a patient dog lover who would like to give this girl another chance at finding her forever home and are willing to work with this girls anxious behaviour, you will be getting a lovely obedient girl.
Jessie is now available for meets and greets, with an extended trial period offered due to her nervous disposition for a fully refundable $50
Adoption details
Fraser Coast Animal Rescue house all our dogs in care with foster carers in family homes. This allows the dogs to experience life in family situations with other dogs, cats, children, chooks and various other domestic animals. This gives us an opportunity to discover their traits and personalities, likes and dislikes, and which dogs would suit which family dynamics.
We offer a 14 day trial period for all potential adoptees so they can see if the dog they have chosen is a fit with their family situation. There is a $50 refundable deposit paid on the commencement of the trial period, which comes off the balance of the adoption fee should you wish to formally adopt your chosen dog. If you decide that the dog doesn't fit with your family, the dog will be returned into foster care, and the full balance of the deposit is refunded to you with no fees or charges.
If you wish to arrange a meet and greet with one of our dogs in care, please call Dianne on 0400346347 or email dianne.north@hotmail.com
The committee and carers of Fraser Coast Animal Rescue are all volunteers, so please be patient with us if we don't answer your enquiries straight away.
