Quiet and quirky, this young ginger girl is often overlooked by visitors to the shelter. Scared and shutdown upon arrival at the shelter, it took several weeks for Lauren to begin to trust staff and build relationships. Very slowly, she began to accept treats and pats, and eventually, she began to demand them!

Lauren still struggles to adapt to new environments and can be a little nervous meeting new faces. With time and a gentle approach her inquisitive nature becomes apparent and she engages readily with toys, treats, and human attention. Lauren is always willing to meet new feline friends, seeming to find new confidence in the company of her own kind, so a household with a sociable and gentle cat would suit her just fine.

Lauren's ideal human will understand

Sweet Lauren is a kind soul who is in need of an understanding and caring owner to help her realize that life really isn't all that scary.

Lauren was incredibly scared and shut down when she first entered the shelter however with a little perseverance from our lovely staff she soon started to warm up to people.

Lauren will require a quiet and understanding home with an owner who has had experience with shy cats in the past. She does seem to like other cats and would mesh well in a household with another confident cat to help boost her confidence.
