About Vortex
Check out this handsome boy!
Meet Vortex – the dog with the most irresistible face. Everywhere he goes people stop him to give him pats and cuddles. This beautiful boy is such a delight to have around. Vortex is the biggest love bug and enjoys nothing more than snuggling up on the couch with his foster family. It doesn’t matter who you are, this dog will be your friend, complete with the waggy tail and happy smile. Overall, he has a calm nature and you can often find him curled up on a blanket in front of the tv.
During his time in care, Vortex has been enjoying daily trips to the dog park where he gets to play with all his doggy friends. He absolutely LOVES smaller sized dogs and if he sees one his tail wags at a million miles an hour as he just wants to play. He can be a little intimidated by big dogs to start with, but once he knows they are friendly he gains confidence. Currently he lives with two other dogs, including one giant breed, and they all get along great. Vortex is a moderately active dog who will require daily exercise throughout his life and regular socilaisation with other dogs to keep him happy and healthy. He loves to go bushwalking and enjoys visits to the beach.
Vortex is a smart boy who knows his basic commands such as sit, lie down, and wait. He walks well on the lead but some further training could fine tune his lead skills. Off lead he is fantastic and he will follow you wherever you go. Inside the home he is toilet trained and has lovely manners. When you tell him to go “off to bed”, he quickly obliges by running straight to his bed and then you will not hear a peep out of him till morning.
We are looking for a home where Vortex will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities and outings. His perfect home would have another smaller and playful doggy friend to keep him company. Otherwise, he should have some doggy company and someone home more often than not. Vortex is cat and child friendly so would make an excellent addition to a family. He is more of an inside dog who will need access outdoors as he does not like to be locked outside, even with another dog for company, as he just wants to be a part of the family. He will also need a warm comfy bed to sleep on inside at night.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
