About Pepper
Pepper is a 14 month old pure black stock coat pedigree German Shepherd in our care at Penrith. This stunning young dog requires an experienced Shepherd family to continue with her training.
Pepper has come into our care after her former owners made the very difficult decision to surrender her into our care as Pepper needed lots of walks, stimulation and training. They had busy lives and Pepper was not receiving the required level of exercise and stimulation this young dog needed.
Pepper is a gorgeous shepherd who we need to home where her owners understand she will need further training, lots of long walks and playtime. She is a 14 month old shepherd with a six month old puppy brain. She will be so easy to train as she is food focused. She does know basic commands but needs them to be reinforced daily. She is exuberant, exciteable and a darling.
She is house trained, loves her car adventure trips and she is in excellent health. She comes with her pedigree papers having been bred by a registered breeder and her complete vet history.
Pepper loves water and going for runs along the beach and swimming in a pool or the surf. She has met other dogs on her walks and is reactive wanting to make friends. She has the true attributes of the shepherd breed, loyality, protective and will have the herding prey drive of a shepherd.
Pepper has not been tested with small dogs, cats or pocket pets. We would recommend a family with children over 12 years of age only because of Pepper’s size and exuberance.
For more information on Pepper please contact Linda for our Dog Adoption application.
Medical notes
Pepper is desexed and fully immunised she has been flea treated and wormed. Pepper comes with a full vet history, her Pedigree papers, all her toys, doona bed and walking harness.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
