About Reddy (In Foster 23 Aug)
Hi, they call me Reddy because I’m ready for my forever home! I’m a super smoochy and chilled out dude. Well, I guess some would call me lazy… but that’s OK. If I’m in a cosy spot there’s no way I’m moving… and if I’m all rugged up and comfy, rather than getting up I’ll let you know I want a pat by giving you a nudge with my paw. I also have to let you know that I had a broken hock* a year or so ago and it still gets a little sore sometimes but the good folk here at Greyhound Rescue have offered to pay for any ongoing pain management I may need. This also means that I can’t do crazy off-leash zoomies at the dog park… good thing I’m so lazy, right? The upside to all of this means I’m suited to apartment living – I rather fancy myself being an inner-city doggo!
* Reddy’s broken hock may require ongoing pain management. This means Reddy is classed as a ‘sanctuary dog’ and will have all of his vet bills covered for pain management of his leg for the rest of his life.

Adoption details
Once we have found your new greyhound we will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
