Located Cowes area.
Lola is not cat friendly and will not be homed with cats or to anyone who may get a cat in the future.
Lola is approximately two years of age, she is a luscious colour of chocolate and white.
On lead Lola walks nicely and gently by your side at a heal. Lola knows and responds to a multitude of commands - sit, leave, stay, come, in, out, up, down, crawl, listen, no. Her all time favourite words to hear are “good girl”; she loves praise, she is enthusiastic to learn and highly food motivated.
Lola is happy to be around people but she takes her time to make sure you won’t hurt her, you need to earn her trust and respect, she needs to know you are safe.
Although Lola can be timid and can get scared easily she retreats if frightened and hide. She is a sweet soft hearted soul.
Lola loves other dogs. She plays enthusiastically; fast and hard. Lola has never shown aggression towards humans or dogs. Lola grew up in a home with children. She’s a happy girl who just wants to play.
Further training would be exceptionally beneficial for Lola and her new owner. Structured training is a great way for the both of you to bond and understand one another, cementing your relationship with her whilst its also a great way to socialise.
As a general rule Lola doesn’t chew her bed or create a nuisance, she’s a good dog.
She needs to be taken home and kept in your backyard for the next three weeks. Exercise can be achieved by playing fetch, which she absolutely loves. The three weeks is a transition period in which I need her to understand she is safe. I need her to trust you, understand you; and both recognise and respond to your voice. In your first weeks with Lola your time would be best spent talking to her, patting her, loving and appreciating her. She’s a good dog she just needs time, softness and gentleness. She will believe in you if you can, if you can offer Lola what she needs please apply at http://www.startingoverdogrescue.org.au/adoption--expression-of-interest-form.html
