About Lando ~ Cattle Dog (on trial 22/1/2019)
Lando is an almost 2 year old Cattle Dog. A gorgeous happy guy, Lando is definitely a family dog; wanting to be with you and part of your activities.
Being a Cattle Dog he loves walks and playing with the ball. Quite intelligent and responsive, he already has basic commands covered (responding to his name, sit etc).
Lando would best suit a family where someone is often home or where he has a puppy pal.
Lando is good with older kids, currently residing with teens. Lando happily sleeps outside but is currently permitted to come inside with his foster family during the day (he is toilet trained).
Lando may not be suited for homes with cats (his foster family’s cat is not a fan) and has not been tested with pocket pets.
As a young cattle dog he is still working on not jumping up and would benefit from more opportunities to socialise with people and other dogs. Sometimes Lando is afraid of other dogs he meets on walks and puts on an aggressive looking display to send them away. This can be improved by helping him feel safe.
This beautiful boy has a heart of love and loyalty to offer his forever family. If this is you and to enquire about Lando please contact Susan (email preferred) on 0405701095 or susanunsted@yahoo.com.au Lando is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Lando’s adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format:
https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
or PDF: https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
