About Ellie
Although pretty to look at, with intelligence to challenge Einstein, a husky is not the breed for everyone.
Please make sure you read Ellie’s whole profile before you apply for her.
18 month old - Ellie ideally needs a husky savvy home. Someone who has owned huskies before and knows what they are capable of, their faults and their always busy and clever minds.
As well as her new home having secure fencing she will need daily exercise. Ellie has shown us she can climb and will likely take herself for a walk if not provided with adequate exercise and enrichment.
It is recommended that she stays on a leash unless in a secure area-unless Ellie wants to return to her owner she won’t and in an open space this would not be ideal to have her off leash.
Ellie has been working on her manners and will need someone who can dedicate time, patience and commit to formal obedience training to continue on the road to success with people and dogs. She is food motivated and will do almost anything to receive a reward.
She would love a doggy play mate to entertain her while her humans are out working.
Ellie appreciates a comfortable couch, a good book and a human to settle down next to (after a big run).
Ellie is not suitable for a home with cats, pocket pets or young children.
