Hi, my name is Bud and I'm looking for my perfect family.

I am almost two years old, but I still think, and feel like I'm a puppy! I'm a Border Collie x, and I have energy to burn, and lots of love to give.

I absolutely love spending time with my people, although I get so excited to see you sometimes, that I get a bit bouncy and knock in to things, including my humans. I also get a little mouthy, and play nip. So, ideally I'd probably be suited to a family with bigger kids. I do like meeting new people, and making new friends, but I am a bit nervous. I tend to growl when I see people I don't know, but it's more of a greeting - once they're introduced calmly and slowly to me, I'll happily lick their hands, play with them, lean on them, and make myself right at home. I also growl when playing!

My ultimate goal in life is to have fun, and I'd dearly love another doggo to share my time with, especially if my family isn't home a lot. And although I love cats, I might love them a little too much, and get overzealous with them - I'll chase, paw at them, and engage in play fighting, but I don't know my own strength, and get very distracted and carried away. Sometimes this results in accidentally frightening, or hurting my feline housemates, so I would really suit a household sans-cats (and other pocket pets may be a little too tempting for me).

I'm a big fan of toys, and my favourites are stolen ones, or random objects that I find (such as hair ties, bread tabs, other pets toys, your stuffed toys etc). Those stuffed toys have a short life though, they have a self explode mode in them!

I have attended a few doggy school lessons and learn quickly, but I am strong-willed, so I need someone who will give me direction. I have pretty good recall, and love a fun run at the beach or oval. I'm quite the gentleman on-lead too.

I have an old shoulder injury that doesn't cause me too many troubles but if I play fetch and do crazy sharp turns it can play up, but with a bit of rest it's fine!

I am house trained, and happily sleep inside in my crate at night.

I'm a keen landscaper, and I really like excavation work too! If I'm left to my own devices for too long, I'll happily entertain myself doing some odd jobs around the house and yard, however my idea of home improvements may be different to yours! I'd love a sandpit of my own in my new house to dig and use some of my energy in!
