About Micky DL1970
Do you have the perfect forever home for the marvelous Micky?
Micky has previously lived with a range of animals; including alpacas, cats, another dog... and he loved hanging out and sharing a meal with the chooks!
He is, however, very timid with people, so is looking for a quiet & calm home without kids. It will take time for Micky to come out of his shell, so you will need to be patient with him as he settles in. He doesn't mind wearing a harness, but has no idea how to walk on a lead, so this is something you can slowly work on together.
Micky is very gentle, sweet and quiet; he hardly ever barks and is super well behaved. As he just adores your company, Micky would be an especially wonderful buddy for an active retiree or someone who works from home.
Micky has plenty of energy to play and he is very affectionate. He follows his favourite person around the house and loves to cuddle up on the couch and give you a friendly lick or 2.
It's important that Micky is included as a member of the family and allowed indoors, and able to sleep near you. He had only ever been an outside dog, but he took to toilet training really quickly and hasn't had any recent accidents inside. You will just need to be patient with this as he adjusts to his new home with you.
Because Micky has such a beautiful coat, you'll also need to be willing to take care of his grooming. A boy has to look his best, after all... and you can’t do that with a tangled coat!
If you would love to help Micky grow his confidence and find his feet in his forever home with you, please email us at DFLadoption@gmail.com to apply.
