About Lucy DL1969
Lucy is a gorgeous girl who loves cuddles and spending time with you! She is friendly with people, including kids.
Lucy is good with cats and has also previously lived with alpacas, chooks and another dog. She enjoyed spending her days lazing around in the sunshine with the chooks running around her.
As she came from a rural property, Lucy would like to have a big yard to play in, with a male dog for company. She is good with other dogs (and likes having a buddy), but does need work on her manners when meeting new dogs. Slow introductions will help Lucy make new friends.
A smart girl, Lucy knows basic commands like sit and come. If you can deal with her cute snores, Lucy loves to sleep or snuggle with you, but she is also happy to sleep outside your bedroom door (as long as she gets plenty of cuddles in the morning!).
Lucy is good on the lead, though will pull towards interesting smells or if she spots a dog. Her recall is okay, but she needs more practice around distractions! Lucy would love to learn more with you.
She doesn’t have a bad bone in her body and loves meeting new people; we call her Wiggle Butt... because she can’t contain her excitement and gets her wiggle on!
If you would like to adopt this lovely lady, please email us at DFLadoption@gmail.com to apply.
Medical notes
Approx. 3-6yo. Lucy has ongoing medication for her skin allergy. Our vet has prescribed Apoquel tablets, it has minimal side effects and cost is ~$20-25/wk.
