About Pepsi ~ adorable Bull Arab x Catahoula puppy
Hi! My name is Pepsi, I’m a 9 week old female Bull Arab x Catahoula. I have lots of energy to play and I love humans, always up for cuddles and kisses. Snuggles are the best but I also love curling up in my bed for a snooze with my brother! I love to play outside and be around people, I get a bit scared when I’m alone without humans or my brother.
I love to learn new things and am a very fast learner, with the help of my favourite treats. I’ve already learnt to sit, lie down, go to my bed when I’m told and come to my name. I am crate trained, but I am still in the process of being housetrained. Keep in mind I am only a puppy, so I am still learning not to wee indoors when I am distracted. Walking on a lead is new for me, but with the help of my favourite treats, I’m learning fast.
I love to play with toys, run around and play with my brother and foster sister, tug-of-war is my favourite! I am happy to play on my own with my toys, but I’ll always say yes to some playtime with my new family.
I’m great with young children, but I’ll need my own space where I can get away if it’s too much and I haven’t been tested with cats. I have met other dogs big and small for some playtime and I’ve gotten along with all of them. I’m cautious and shy at first, but after a short time I’m happy to run around and play! My foster mum says that I’m her little shadow because I like to follow her around and lie at her feet.
During the day I have regular naps in my crate with my brother and regular plays outside. My brother and I sleep in our crate at night, but my foster mum wakes us up in the dark and carries us outside to go to the toilet. During the day I like to take my toys outside and play in the sun or snuggle up near my foster mum. I would love to have a human around or a buddy with me as long as they can put up with my energy. I will grow up to be a large dog, so I’ll need high, secure fencing. I can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire). It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time because I get hungry at lunch time.
As I’m not yet desexed, I am only available for adoption to Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because I’ll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when I’m approximately 5 months old.
If you think your home will be the perfect place for me to grow up and become part of your family forever, then please email my foster mum Alina with an application form https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.docx on claudeshowie@hotmail.com. I am currently in the Newcastle area, NSW.
Pepsi’s adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, first 2 vaccinations and microchipping and she’s been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format:
https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
or PDF: https://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
