Sandy is a sweet girl and would benefit from someone who is home a lot. Whether it’s works from home, older possibly retired. She needs someone who’s going to be around and spend time with her. She is vocal when she’s left alone.
She is not a dog for kids. She hasn’t shown aggression or worry for kids, she just doesn’t interact or play with them. As she is tiny it would be easy for her to be injured or stepped on in an active household, so a quiet household is best as she is nervous and runs away from movements and loud noises.
She doesn’t care about cats or other dogs ( unless they are in her face constantly ) she is quite content to live and let live so another small quiet dog would suit her personality. Otherwise she’s content being the only one snuggling for affection and love.
Sandy takes time to warm up to people, she is very nervous, and unsure of new environments and people. Sandy is more relaxed with female and will warm up to men over time ( as long as they aren’t loud). She is exploring new things everyday but she needs someone who’s patient to allow her the time she needs to feel comfortable and confident in her adventures.

If you should choose to adopt a dog from SEQ K9 Rescue:
You will be asked to complete an adoption application.
Completing this form helps us to determine if the dog is suited to your circumstances. Some dogs have special needs so we are looking for the perfect forever home for all of our dog's needs.
After you have completed and returned the adoption application we decide if you are a good match for the dog you are applying for. Sometimes we may recommend another dog we have in our care.
Next, we will arrange for you to meet the dog/puppy.
We ask that bring along your family and any other animals you have in your household. A yard check (or yard photos) will be checked and only then will approval be considered.
Please remember sometimes there are several applications for the same dog so this process may take up to a week.
The adoption fee must be paid before any of our animals are released from our care.
We also offer a 2 week trial period - if you have any issues with your chosen dog/puppy you must contact SEQ K9 Rescue via text immediately.
If for any reason the dog needs to be returned to the rescue organisation, the adoption fee minus a $50 non-refundable deposit will be refunded. Your refund will be returned via bank transfer within 10 working days.
If the pet is returned after the trial period generally no refund will be made.
Interstate adoptions may be requested to supply additional information and photographs of the proposed environment for the animal. Interstate adopter must pay transport costs in addition to the adoption fee.
If an animal is to return from an interstate adoption, the adopter is to pay all costs to return the animal to SEQ K9 Rescue in Brisbane.
