About Missy
Say hello to Missy.
Missy came to us a couple of months ago with her cute little sister and very handsome brother. They are all very sweet and fun loving pups. Zoey and Murphy have now headed off to their perfect new homes and we are happy to wait as long as it takes for Missy to find her happiness.
Missy is very playful and curious about everything. She plays until she gets tired, will have a quick rest and is then ready to continue with her adventures.
While she has been with us, Missy has had wonderful guidance from the 2 mature male dogs. She loves to play, run and wrestle with the boys. Missy can be a little timid when meeting new dogs but she settles quickly with a slow introduction and reassurance from the people she trusts to protect her.
Considering Missy is a little shy, she will benefit greatly from training/socialisation classes to help her continue developing her confidence in new situations. Her carers have begun training classes with her and she has started off very well. She is showing everyone how clever she is and that she is very willing to learn and please her special people.
Missy will only be suited to a home where she will continue having the guidance from a mature but young and energetic desexed, MALE doggy pal who along with being a fulltime play mate can also offer her security and help her learn the important boundaries to help her develop into a fantastic, well adjusted new family member.
When Missy knows she has done something wrong, she will give you her best 'puppy dog' eyes and look very sorry. She is a very fast learner and with continued direction, she is learning lovely manners and correct behaviour.
Missy is very cute, sweet and adoring. She loves her cuddles and reassurance and is always happy. She is becoming quite independent as she is getting older. She enjoys having her space and prefers if people don't get in her face. She will be much happier in a home with older children who will learn that she needs her space while she settles into her new home.
Her foster carers are working on her training and basic manners and Missy has now learnt to 'sit' and 'wait' and her recall is now quite good. She will stop ad listen if you call out her name.
Missy still occasionally chews so toys and ropes will be great for her to gnaw on during the day and shoes and other special items will need to be moved out of reach.
Missy's foster carers are regularly socialising her with new people. She has lots of things going on around her to keep her entertained and well stimulated to prevent her becoming bored and destructive.
Missy is catching on to toilet training and almost has it mastered. She is learning to let her carers know when she needs to go out.
Missy currently spends a lot of time inside during the day and sleeps inside overnight cuddled up to the other dogs. She really enjoys the warmth and security the other dogs offer her. She will be looking for a family who is happy to invite her inside so she can feel like a very special member of her new family.
Slow introductions to new dogs will help them feel safe and allow them to join in at their own pace after they have had a chance to watch from a distance and feel comfortable.
Considering she has never been introduced to cats or other small animals, a home where she will have a canine pal but no other pets will be the best match for her
Please contact us if you would like to offer Missy a special place in your home and you have an active boy who would enjoy spending his days with a new friend.
Currently in care in Ballarat, Victoria.

Adoption details
If you think one of our animals would be a good match for your home please email us and we will be in touch shortly after. We all work fulltime, have families and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
