About Zoe
Zoe is a 4yr old, sweet-natured girl who LOVES pats and snuggles with you! If she can’t be getting snuggles she’s happy out on walks sniffing the world and saying hello to all the people she passes.
Zoe is settling in well to pet life after racing. She's toilet trained, and loves going for trips in the car. She has settled for trips of around 2 hours, and also enjoys shorter excursions for walking in new places.
She is great at going to lie quietly on her bed, and will also lie down near you whenever she's trying to impress you, or if she knows you're preparing her meal! She has a very expressive tail, and loves her nickname, Zuzu. Her favourite treat is toast with vegemite, and she also likes roast chicken, sweet potato, and yoghurt.
Zoe first went into foster care as an only dog with a fulltime worker, but got so sad when her foster mum would go to work she would bark for her to come back. She has since been in foster care with other large dogs and is more relaxed without humans in their company. As such, she will need to go to a home with another medium-large dog, or someone who is home much of the time and willing to work slowly with Zoe on being comfortable alone.
Zoe can be overly enthusiastic with small dogs, so is not suited to a home with one. She is not cat friendly and needs a home with no cats or other small furries.
You may notice from the photos that Zoe has bald patches on her bum. This isn't unusual for greys coming from racing kennels. Their fur wears away from lying on hard kennel floors. Hers looks to be very slowly coming back now she's lying on soft beds and eating a high quality diet, but it may never fully regrow. We think her baldy bum is rather cute!
