About Valerie ~ Arab x Catahoula (on trial 15/10/18)
Hi! My name is Valerie and I’m a 16 week old Bull Arab x Catahoula. I am a very loving, super snuggly puppy with heaps of love to give! I’m always up for cuddles and I love to give kisses. I’m always excited when I get to meet new people because that means I get more cuddles! I love to play and be around people. I love to take naps on your lap or at least in the same room as you.
I love to learn new things and am a very fast learner, with the help of my favourite treats. I’ve already learnt to sit, lie down, go to my bed when I’m told and come to my name. I am crate trained, but I am nearly fully housetrained. Keep in mind I am only a puppy, so I am still learning. I’m still learning to walk on a lead as it’s a new thing for me, but with the help of my favourite treats, I’m learning fast.
I love to play with my favourite sheep toy and run around and play with my brother! I have just learnt how to play tug-of-war and now it’s my new favourite thing to play! I am happy to play on my own with my toys and with my brother, but I’ll always say yes to some playtime with my new family.
I would love to be let inside with my new family just to see what you’re up to and to make sure you’re safe and of course for some cuddles and attention. I’m great with young children, but haven’t been tested with cats. I have met other dogs big and small for some playtime and I’ve gotten along with all of them. I’m very cautious and shy at first, but after a short time I’m happy to run around and play! My foster mum says that I’m her little shadow because I like to follow her around and lie at her feet.
During the day I have access to inside and outside and I currently sleep indoors in my crate with my brother at night. During the day I like to take my toys outside and play in the sun or snuggle up near my foster mum. I would love to have a buddy with me as I love to play with other dogs. I will grow up to be a large dog, so I’ll need high, secure fencing. I can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire). It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time.
As I’m not yet desexed, I am only available for adoption to Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because I’ll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when I’m approximately 5 months old.
If you think your home will be the perfect place for me to grow up and become part of your family forever, please email my foster carer Hilary on hilary.leotta@live.com.au or fill in an Adoption Questionnaire online https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. I am in foster care in the Newcastle area, NSW.
Valerie’s adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, first 2 vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.
Medical notes
Happy and healthy dog.

If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two-week trial begins on the day of adoption.
