About Marty ~ Bull Arab x Catahoula puppy (On Trial 27/8
Hi! My name is Marty and I’m an 8 week old Bull Arab x Catahoula. I am a very affectionate, super friendly puppy with heaps of love to give and energy to burn! I’m always up for cuddles and I love to give kisses. I’m always excited when I get to meet new people or anyone really; even if you leave the room for a minute, I’m super excited when I see you again! I love to play and see new things!
I love to learn new things and am a very fast learner, with the help of my favourite treats. I’ve already learnt to sit, lie down, go to my bed when I’m told and come to my name. I am crate trained, but I am still in the process of being housetrained. Keep in mind I am only a puppy, so I am still learning. I love to go on walks and explore new things. My foster mum says that I’m a super curious and courageous little pup because I just want to see everything!
I love to play with my favourite pig toy and run around and play with my sister! I just learnt how to play tug-of-war and now it’s my new favourite thing to play! I am happy to play on my own with my toys and with my sister but I’ll always say yes to some playtime with my new family.
I would love to be let inside with my new family just to see what you’re up to and to make sure you’re safe and of course for some playtime and attention. I’m great with young children, but haven’t been tested with cats. I have met other dogs big and small for some playtime and I’ve gotten along with all of them.
During the day I have access to inside and outside and I currently sleep indoors in my crate with my sister at night. During the day I like to take my toys outside and play in the sun or wherever my foster mum is. I would love to have a buddy with me as I love to play with other dogs. I will grow up to be a large dog, so I’ll need high, secure fencing. I can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire). It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time.
As I’m not yet desexed, I am only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because I’ll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when I’m approximately 5 months old.
If you think your home will be the perfect place for me to grow up and become part of your family forever, then please email my foster mum Reanna with an application formhttps://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/adoptionquestionnaire.docx on reanna.moore@hotmail.com I am currently in Newcastle area, NSW.
Marty’s adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, first 2 vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
