About Nancy
Nancy is a beautiful girl with a heart of gold, and she’s looking for the perfect family to share it with. She’s a couch potato and loves to spend lazy days lounging at your feet or in your lap (she doesn’t think she’s too big to be a lap dog!). Nancy really enjoys being an inside dog most of the time, but likes to get out for a play in the backyard or a nap in the sun. She’s toilet trained, understands basic commands and gets on with cats and other dogs. She shows a natural curiosity towards her feline friends, but has been fostered with a cat for the past few months with no issues. Despite having a rough time in her former life, she’s the biggest softie you will ever meet - nothing makes Nancy happier than belly rubs and a big dinner! She’s very friendly (she loves getting pushed around Bunnings in a trolley and getting pats from everyone), but she’s also good at letting you know when someone’s at the door. She’s a gentle girl, but has a very long, very happy tail and is unaware of her size. For these reasons, a home with older children would be more suitable. Nancy’s ideal family would be one she can spend a lot of time with, or have a low-energy canine brother to keep her company while the family is at work.
Nancy has come on in leaps and bounds since coming in foster care. She has learned a lot over the last few months and has grown into a confident, happy and loving companion. All she needs now is the love of a forever home.
Medical notes
Nancy is five years young but has a couple of health niggles her forever family need to be aware of. She suffers from hip dysplasia that requires her to be on daily medication and regular injections. This has made a huge difference to Nancy’s quality of life and you wouldn’t even know it was an issue. This does mean she’s not an overly active dog, and is better suited to short bursts of gentle exercise. She also needs her eyes wiped and drops put in daily.
Nancy is microchipped, desexed & up to date with vaccinations.

Applicants will be assessed in terms of best suitability for the dog. A meet & greet and yard inspection are essential parts of the screening process.
